Unblocking the heart chakra and being a service to others in this life....
Today, chances are that if you are reading this, you’re relatively isolated on our big blue world. There is a high probability that our highly monetized society has immersed you in the illusion that you do not need your neighbors, friends or family.
We’re in the paradoxical age of connected disconnection. The dark side of our scientific progress has been a relentless pressure to decouple, dissect, and quantify everything. Yet in breaking the wholeness of life, we discard everything we can’t measure and often kill whatever we try to disconnect in the attempt to understand its constituent parts.

We find ourselves caught up in the waves of emotion in times of war, unbearable loss and pain. When we are hurt, life at times teaches us to lash out and cause more pain to those we feel may have did us wrong. What if we are viewing the scenes presented with faulty eyes, information or untruths? What if those we feel hurt us were set up and are in fact playing a hand that isn't of their own creation. Bamboozled is a good word that comes to mind. What if there are different perspectives available?
Again, I will pose these questions for you to ponder.
Where does it come from, this quest? This need to solve life's mysteries when the simplest of questions can never be answered? Why are we here? What is the soul? Why do we dream? Perhaps we'd be better off not looking at all. Not delving, not yearning. But that's not human nature. Not the human heart. That is not why we are here. Yet still we struggle to make a difference, to change the world, to dream of hope, never knowing for certain who we will meet along the way. Who among the world of strangers will hold our hand, touch our hearts, and share the pain and triumph?
We dream of hope, we dream of change, of fire, of love, of death. And then it happens; the dream becomes real, and the answer to this quest, this need to solve life's mysteries finally shows itself like the glowing light of the new dawn. So much struggle for meaning, for purpose. And in the end, we find it only in each other. Our shared experience of the fantastic and the mundane. The simple human need to find a kindred. To connect. And to know in our hearts... that we are not alone. We have never been alone.
In closing, when a change comes, some species feel the urge to migrate, they call it "zugunruhe", a pull of the soul to a far off place. Following a scent in the wind, a star in the sky. The ancient message comes calling the kindred to take flight, and gather together. Only then can they hope to survive the cruel season to come.
