The World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting takes place in Davos from 15-19 January 2024.

Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse has been listed as one of the participants at the World Economic Forum (WEF) event on January 18. This is a landmark move in terms of worldwide adoption for cryptocurrency.

As detailed on the WEF website, the event is based on the topic: “Clear-Eyed about Crypto” and will also feature other innovators in the broader financial and crypto ecosystems.

Adding Garlinghouse as a speaker at this event is a big recognition of not just the firm’s wins against the SEC, but also the impact and significant strides made in the crypto currency arena. Stellar, Grayscale, Coinbase and Circle are some of the prominent crypto names attending this year's forum.

At the core of the WEF discussion lies the place of sensible regulation among countries around the world. While there are countries like El Salvador with defined laws, in other regions like China crypto remains a banned asset class.

Ripple offers solutions to move, manage and tokenize value with it's crypto and blockchain resolutions, offering cross border payments, crypto liquidity and central bank digital currency. Using blockchain and cryptocurrency technology, Ripple is dedicated to creating powerful gains in financial efficiency, equity and inclusion.

XRP price is currently trading at $0.5809, up by 0.43% in the past 24 hours.

The World Economic Forum's stated mission is "improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas".

We shall see if Ripple is able to help bridge financial inequality, while pushing for prosperity for all.

2024 will be a year of institutional adoption in the crypto sphere. My prediction is that it will be the year of widespread institutional adoption of this transformative technology creating a fair playing field to anyone that would like to invest.
